The working title of this, our first novel, was Orphan Circus, but it’s now called Destiny Fair because though a circus does figure in the story, the main action takes place at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. The fact that two of the main characters are orphans is less important than the coming together of the four destinies of Elizabeth, Anna, George, and Collin. Based on the true story of her grandfather and grandmother told to me by Joan Prescott Neidig, Destiny Fair tells an amazing tale of war, greed, love, and becoming  American.
